CONCERT PRECEDES
MOTORBIKE FESTIVAL

The third York Motorcycle Festival was held in town on Sunday April 13, preceded by a street concert the night before.

A feature of the Saturday night concert was Perth Rock and Roll Soul Act, 'Boom, Bap Pow'.

The festival brought together motorbike trade exhibitors, several thousand motorcycle enthusiasts and  a variety of entertainment which included stunt rider Dave McKenna, Moto trial demonstrations and quad bike rides.

Market stalls and trade displays, food stalls and live music were spread along Avon Terrace which was closed for the day. A show and shine competition was held in the town hall. Local cafes and eating places benefited from the influx.

A charity ride took place from Midland to York to raise money for YouthFocus, a WA charity that helps young people with mental health issues.

Organizers of the event said York was a warm, friendly  historic town with plenty to offer visitors.
