World renowned organist, Joseph Nolan, is making a second visit to York this year to present a Christmas concert at Holy Trinity Anglican Church.

Mr Nolan is bringing a group of choristers from the Cathedral Consort for the concert on Saturday 14 December at 7.00pm.

Co-ordinator Bill Heseltine, said the program was a lovely mix of choral and organ items with opportunities for the congregation to join in. There would also be some light hearted capers to finish, making a fantastic evening, he said.

The program would include: Once in Royal David’s City; anthems In Dulci Jubilo; In the Bleak Midwinter, Darke and Sans Day Carol, Rutter. Then O little Town of Bethlehem; Sortie in Eb Lefebure, Wely, organ solo; Nativity Carol, Rutter; Tomorrow Shall be my dancing Day, Gardner and Lullaby My Liking, Holst followed by O come all ye faithful.

After interval there will be all the verses of Good King; This is the Truth from Above, Vaughn Williams; Magnum Mysterium, Lauridsen and Ding Dong Merrily on High. This will be followed by Silent night; Toccata, Widor; Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, A white Christmas and We wish you a Merry Christmas. The evening will end with Hark the Herald angels sing.
