The York Horsemen's Association will start its 56th gymkhana season next month.

Its first event will be on Sunday, March 9 at 9.00am. This is the first of its gymkhanas which are held on the second Sunday of each month from March to August at the pony club grounds on Dinsdale Street.

The club conducts saddle horse and pony classes for both official and unofficial competitors of all ages and levels. Affiliated with both EFA and Show Horse Council, the club has access to the most experienced judges. The Club also conducts official measuring of horses.

This year, due to extenuating financial conditions, the club intends to conduct a quiz night to raise funds for the year. This will be held on Saturday, March 29 in the York town hall. The club is looking for donations in cash or kind for this function. Any person or business willing to help should contact 9641 4049 or 9641 1679.
