MILL GALLERY LAUNCHES
EXHIBITION BY PERTH ARTIST

A number of well known sporting identities were in York for the launch of an exhibition of art work at the York Mill Gallery early last month.

The exhibition was titled, Studio Aqua, featuring work by artist, Joie Stevenson, from Subiaco.

The opening of the exhibition by former Australian cricketer Ryan Campbell was attended by more than 120 people. Other sporting greats present included Olympic gold medallist, Sally Carbon, rugby league player, Matt Fuller and Michael Broadbridge from the Dockers.

Owners, Ray and Rhonni Pedretti said this was the Mill Gallery's first art exhibition since they took over. ˇ°We also had on show a number of our new pieces of furniture made in York other than the Jahroc brand,ˇ± he said.

The exhibition runs until August 14 and some items will remain at the gallery after the exhibition closes. ˇ°We have another exhibition opening on September 12 that will feature the WA Art Society,ˇ± Ray said.

Among the locals present were Sally and Tony Boyle, Michael and Kellie Lamond, Andrew and Marjorie Boultbee along with Jaye and Chase Clarke.
