GOOD TURNOUT FOR
YORK GARDEN FESTIVAL

This year’s spring garden festival in York was well attended. It was held in the grounds of the Anglican rectory on Sunday, October 21.

Popular attractions included music on classical guitar by Beven Merredith, singing by Nice ‘n’ Easy and folk dancing by the Perth Folk Dancers.

Visitors also had the opportunity to visit four home gardens around York travelling by bus from the main venue. There was music at each of the gardens provided by Helena College.

The festival was officially opened by special guest, Trevor Cochrane, from the Garden Gurus.

Other attractions included a variety of stalls as well as talks and demonstrations by visiting experts.
